Goals of Keep Dimond Clean

A litter-free and graffiti-free neighborhood is the foundation for a safe and inviting neighborhood.

There are now 30 dedicated “Keep Dimond Clean” volunteers who take pride in a clean, welcoming neighborhood.  This is the basic element of a safe community. It shows the residents and merchants care about this neighborhood and that there are eyes on our streets.

Volunteers show up twice a week – rain or shine – to remove litter and graffiti, rake leaves from storm drains, and cart debris to the Public Works drop spot.
Our goals are to cover graffiti quickly, and prevent sidewalk and gutter litter from entering the storm drains that reach Sausal Creek…debris that would eventually make its way to the San Francisco Bay. We are also providing a positive message to our youth through our volunteer effort and example.
