A litter-free and graffiti-free neighborhood is the foundation for a safe and inviting neighborhood.
There are now 30 dedicated “Keep Dimond Clean” and Dimond Park volunteers who take pride in a clean, welcoming neighborhood. This is the basic element of a safe community. It shows that residents and merchants care about this neighborhood and that there are “eyes on our streets”.
Volunteers show up twice a week – rain or shine – to remove litter, rake leaves from storm drains, and cart debris to the Public Works drop spot. Keep Dimond Clean goals include the removal of graffiti, and the prevention of sidewalk and gutter litter from entering the storm drains that reach Sausal Creek…debris that would eventually make its way to the San Francisco Bay. A positive message is provided to our youth through team effort and example.
